Tom Paine Press and Gallery
The Tom Paine Press and Gallery is run by Peter Chasseaud at 151 High Street, Lewes. This is the shop from which ‘Sussex Lustreware’ launched in the autumn of 2018, and is the only permanent stockist.
I don’t have capacity to supply anywhere else on a regular basis, but have been able to provide pots for exhibition sales and special occasions.
National Gallery
In May 2025 the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery reopened after two years closure for redevelopment and rehanging as part of the Gallery’s bicentenary celebrations. I was asked to make a special jug and a new mug ‘for an art lover’. These and other mugs were stocked in the Sainsbury Wing shop on Trafalgar Square. Pentreath & Hall
Pentreath & Hall in Bloomsbury, London, is owned by Ben Pentreath and Bridie Hall who kindly offered space for a pop-up adjacent to the main shop for two weeks in the spring of 2022 and again in 2023. It was such a beautiful space to be able to do this.
Persephone Books
In 2021 publisher Nicola Beauman asked me to make a jug featuring this quotation from Virginia Woolf, which then sold exclusively from the Persephone book shop in Bath.
Liberty
In 2026 I was asked to supply Liberty with baubles for their Christmas shop, a variation of those I’d made the year before. I have since been asked to supply the Regent Street store with a wider range of pieces.
Two Temple Place
Alison Guilfoyle asked me to supply the shop at Two Temple Place, on London’s Embankment, for the 2020 exhibition.
‘Unbound: visionary women collecting textiles’ celebrated the pioneering work of seven women, showcasing artefacts from galleries and museums across the country in this magnificent venue. My pieces were inspired by the work of Enid Marx, one of the featured collectors.
Both her design work and the folk art she collected with Margaret Lambert, which included examples of 19th century lustre ware, were exhibited, on loan from their permanent home at Compton Verney.
